Toon Disney Goes XD.
In Febuary 2009, Toon Disney is going bye-bye, & will be welcoming boys & tomboys ages 6-14 to Disney XD. Some of the shows include "Jimmy TwoShoes", "Phineas & Ferb", "Spider-Man", & even some original proggraming, such as "Hero & Not" (working title). The Jetix proggraming block will not be shown on Disney XD, because the name & logo will not be used in the United States. I will miss Toon Disney, but I am excited for XD.

Holy Good Grief, New Peanuts STUFF!!!
In October 2007, Warner Home Video now owns the animated rights to Peanuts. Worldwide too. They have released the Peanuts specials on DVD, digitally restored & remastered, starting with "Be My Valintine, Charlie Brown". They are also expected to release new direct-to video specials, & TV specials. Also, they are also on iTunes. Also on iTunes, are Warner Motion Comics' new series, Peanuts Motion Comics from strips from 1964. I bought one on iTunes for $0.99, & a season for $7.99. I would also dedicate this post to Bill Melendez, who died two months ago. Here are some pictures of before & after.
The KarateGuard (2005)
Joe Barbera (1911-2006) came back to direct his final film with his first creations, Tom and Jerry, and his final film before his 2006 death. With Spike Brandit, he co-directed, co-storyboarded, and wrote "The KarateGuard". Hanna-Barbera character-designer/creater Iwao Takamoto (1925-2007) storyboarded the cartoon with Barbera, while Brandit did the voice of Tom, Tony Cervone did Spike, and Keone Young did the Ancient Wise One. The cartoon has the same energy, fast-pace, and similar gags of the original cartoon, but with some modernized gags and storylines. They took the Spike being Jerry's bodyguard thing, but put a karate twist on it. The cartoon is a fantastic work of animation, when it came on Cartoon Network, but was in front of a live theatrical audience in 2005. See it on YouTube, but here are some images.

Box Office Bunny (1990)
In 1990, Warner Bros. celebrated the 50th aniversary of their biggest cartoon star, Bugs Bunny. They did tons of stuff promotting his birthday, including making a new cartoon "Box Office Bunny", written & directed by Darrel Van Critters. With the loss of Mel Blanc, WB found a man named Jeff Bergman, who did Bugs, Daffy, & Elmer. This is a great 4 minute short. See the short from a 1995 episode of "The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show" on YouTube! Enjoy! (Here are some images from THE ACME FACTORY.)

Here are those images of John K.'s Jetsons layouts. (1st Time Blogging)
John K's Jetsons layouts.
John Kricfalusi (Ren and Stimpy, Ripping Friends) recently posted on his fantastic blog about the layouts he did on the 1980s revival of "The Jetsons". I've seen episodes of them & their great! But his layouts scare me a little. So, here are two of those layouts, with the infamous, Orbity:
This is worth thanking for!
